I was awoken this morning from the dogs barking. I knew that bark, it meant someone's here! So I look out the window, and it's the UPS Man. That can only mean one thing, because I haven't ordered anything recently...but I was expecting a delivery, just not this soon. I knew it was my camera!! Sure enough, it was!! I had it sent out 2 weeks ago to get serviced, and I thought it would take a while to get it back. I bought my camera last year and 39 days after I had it, it started giving me issues. I had tried different things such as a different lens, a different card, ect. but was still coming up with the dreaded ERR code. It's a bad code, one you don't want to see on your camera as it means it could be a multitude of problems, but mainly a malfunction of your camera. Being the procrastinator that I am, I waited until I worried about my warranty that was coming up, I mean I'm still good, but what if it took a while to fix?! So here I am with a "new" camera. It's much, much different than my D80! The exposure meter is the complete opposite of each other, so I have to get use to that. And there are SO many more bells & whistles on my D7100, than my D80. I have a book to read that explains things much better than the manual. So I'm going to have to learn some new things. I'm sad that I will be putting my D80 away, but she needs a break. She has taken thousands & thousands of images, and has captured so many memories, and has never once given me a single issue. Well, one that I couldn't figure out. She deserves to go get a nice cleaning, Ol' Faith(ful). The new guy is a D700, whose name is Niko. I say, male, because well....he's given me issues. LOL He comes in at a whooping 23.8oz, and can shoot 6FPS, 100-6400 ISO, and is Full HD. He's a lot heavier than her, she weighs 20.48oz, and can shoot 3FPS, 100-1600 ISO. So a big change from my D80!! And yes, I'm a dork!!
It's a boy!!!
