Today was Kwintyn's first day of pre-school. He was suppose to ride the bus, but we didn't even make it to the bus stop. So I took him in to school, which I kinda wanted to do anyways but didn't want to mess up his new routine. He said, that he had a great day, and had fun, and he wanted to go back so that was a great sign! And he talked!!! I kinda knew he would but, oh, the anxieties I had!! He's a shy little guy! He also told me that he wanted to ride the bus tomorrow. I had no clue what to do with absolutely no kids here! Frank got out of work early, so that surprised me, and we enjoyed the house being kid free. Then we got bored. And I wanted doughnuts. LOL So we went in to town and went to the Salvation Army, Cops & Doughnuts, Dollar General. and the Habitat Re-store. Kwintyn was surprised to see Frank at pick up. He wanted Daddy to pick him up from school, and I told him that Dad would be working, so this made his day! Was a great day until 7:00ish? And then the day went blah. Kwintyn & Chelsea were jumping on the trampoline, and Kwin jumped off, and landed on a nail. We wondered where the nail came from since it was by the trampoline. Well it came from the pool pump that was under the trampoline that stuck out just enough. UGH!!! It wasn't a nail that was laying around, the pool pump was nailed to a board, and the nail head was sticking out just enough to cause a nasty, nasty laceration. (I'll just say...it kinda pissed me off. I tell everyone to clean up their shit ALL the time.) We ended up taking him up to the ER. I knew he didn't need stitches, but it just needed to be cleaned really good, and maybe they could glue it a bit. That is exactly what they did, they soaked his foot, and glued it, and bandaged it all up. (I'll just say that I did a better job with the bandage, haha! I, do have knowledge in medical things..just can't do it. LOL) They also gave him so antibiotics to prevent an infection...I'll admit I didn't think of that one. ;) lol Good call, Doc! We then went to Walmart to find him some more comfortable shoes, and ones that weren't so tight. It was a pain in the ass to find him a pair!! I finally found a pair, I thought they were slippers, but they weren't, they were boots! Think of Uggs with a cowboy boot twist, and then add Camo. He likes them, and says they are soft, and comfy. They work especially with the bandage on his foot. This boy had one eventful day, and he did such an amazing job!!
1st day of Pre-School!
